44 South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, Ramsgate, CT11 9QE

44 Southeastern Road is the kind of house you can’t help but be curious about, it’s the very definition of Victorian grandeur, rising proudly over three floors on a commanding corner plot in one of Ramsgate’s most characterful streets. Step inside and you’re met with rooms everywhere- five official bedrooms, potentially six if you get creative, plus a cellar that’s open wide for interpretation. Think Airbnb, dungeon, moody home cinema, or just somewhere to stash your wine- your fate hasn’t been decided for you yet, and at Geek, we’re not here to judge.

This is a big, sprawling house that is unapologetic in its prestige. Not everything conforms, and it’s not trying to. Some rooms could do with a little polish, others are undeniably cool. But that’s the joy of homeownership. It’s a blank canvas with style oozing from the walls. You can sense the history, it’s built into every detail, but there’s nothing stale about it. Ramsgate itself hums with the same contrast- old grandeur and new energy. Once a favourite of royalty and artists alike, the town still carries that coastal elegance, complete with sweeping Regency crescents, a Royal Harbour (the only one in the UK), but balanced with a younger, cooler undercurrent: a growing community of creatives, second homers, and quietly extravagant locals who like their luxury with a bit of edge.  You're also just a short stroll from St Lawrence College, one of East Kent’s most prestigious secondary schools. Proximity alone can be a game-changer for families with serious educational intent. There's no chain, no faff, and if you’re the impatient type or just under time constraints, you can be in before your Pinterest board even loads.

At Geek, we don’t believe in itineraries so we’re not gonna weigh you down with one here. This could be the start of something incredible. Any way you want it, this home will wrap itself around you and your family to create the idyllic, regal backdrop for life that most people can only dream of. It’s one you need to see to believe.

It’s not often one encounters a home so thoroughly unexpected- particularly at this price point. This elegant five bedroom residence on Margate Road evokes the refined sensibilities more commonly found in the heart of Notting Hill, rather than alongside the coastal charm of Ramsgate.

From the moment you step inside, the property impresses. Pristine herringbone flooring guides you through a thoughtfully curated interior where clean white staircases and a gracefully winding banister set the tone. Each detail- from the attractive light fittings throughout to the understated glamour of the bedrooms- reflects a meticulous eye for design.

The rear garden is a masterclass in layered landscaping. Arranged across two levels and combining distinct textures and materials, it offers an effortlessly chic extension of the home- ideal for entertaining or simply enjoying a moment of quiet.

Positioned for convenience, the property benefits from excellent transport links. Ramsgate Station, with its high-speed rail to London, is just minutes away, placing the capital within easy reach while maintaining a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

This is a residence that demands to be seen in person. A home of this calibre is a rarity- don’t let it slip by unnoticed.

Laleham Road has some proper houses on it.

Big, handsome semi-detached homes, believed to date from around the late 1920s, with imposing frontages, generous gardens and the sort of proportions that newer houses simply don’t seem to bother with.

This is one of those.

Officially it’s a four-bedroom semi-detached house, although the current owners are using the dining room as bedroom number five, which gives you some idea of the space available. There are also two bathrooms, plenty of living accommodation and a genuinely good-sized plot.

Now, full disclosure: this isn’t one of those listings where we’re going to tell you every square inch is immaculate and then hope you don’t notice the Star Wars poster when you arrive.

Parts of the house have been done really well. Other parts would benefit from a little modernisation. And with a couple of older children still living at home, a few rooms have developed what we can only describe as their own slightly chaotic swagger.

So yes, confession time: we’ve used a tiny bit of AI housekeeping in a couple of the photographs. Nothing structural, nothing added that isn’t there — we’ve basically just asked the computer to tidy up after the teenagers. Frankly, it was quicker.

Underneath all of that is the important bit: a substantial period semi in Margate, with big rooms, four proper bedrooms, two bathrooms and gardens that give you genuine space to work with.

Location-wise, you can saunter down towards Cliftonville, which has changed enormously in recent years.

Geek recently had its first proper night out there and, somewhat embarrassingly, we were completely blown away. Great little bars, restaurants, interesting people everywhere — on a warm evening it genuinely felt a bit like being somewhere on the continent.

So if you’re looking for something polished to within an inch of its life, this probably isn’t it.

If you’re looking for a big old Margate house with character, space, a proper garden and plenty of potential to put your own stamp on it…

Laleham Road is very interesting indeed.

You could not find a finer or truer instance of the location versus accommodation debate.

An age old debate many a couple over many a dining table indulge in. A universal conversation held in many a public and private space. But geek would dare to say, you’d be a fool to pass this one by!

For living directly opposite the iconic Jentex sign, may not be for everybody, but geek considers this is a home where the accommodation and village lifesupersedes any snooty behaviour!

Once upon a time the road was a rat race, but since the upgrading of the local highways, this section of road, has gone from busy to relative quiet, as it is not the access it once was. Sat upon the hill of Cliffsend, you have the village at your feet and are a leisurely stroll down Foads Hill to the community hub known as Njords Bar, as well as in the locality of the new train station Thanet Parkway, which is a fast service to London. There is a social vibe in the village of Cliffsend, which is steadily making waves, if you choose to roll with it. And you are in a superior spot for exiting Thanet by road. So, arguably a classic, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ location because of a sign!

The interior space, design and style of this four double bedroom detached chalet bungalow is sublime; it usurps any illusion the simile, like a Tardis, suggests and has been thoughtfully planned to exploit every inch of floor space. The communal spaces are open plan, and is both intimate, yet expansive at the same time, as the design caters for both. So, if you want to chill in the snug area, or interact in the kitchen the choice is yours.

The current owners use the three double bedrooms downstairs for other usages  but depending on your needs, this usage is readily changeable. Upstairs is a sweeping master bedroom, with a breath taking roof terrace, which, if you’re that way inclined, would be a perfect spot for a summer soiree. Although, you are spoilt for choice, as at the back of the garden, is a substantial log cabin, with a wooden built bar, herringbone effect flooring and space to relax and chill or socialise. Lots of choices!

NO CHAIN!… Set within the ever popular Beltinge area of Herne Bay, this modern detached home gives you serious space and even more potential. Configured as either four generous bedrooms with multiple reception areas or a full five bedroom setup depending on how you live, this is a house that flexes around family life rather than forcing you into a fixed layout. With a lounge diner, separate reception room, three bathrooms including two en suites, and room for everyone to have their own corner, this is quite simply a lot of house for the money.

But the real talking point here is outside.

Positioned on a corner plot, the garden is what genuinely sets this one apart from so many modern homes. Space like this is becoming increasingly rare on newer developments. The rear garden wraps around the property beautifully, creating a private, secluded south facing setting with no direct overlooking, a huge plus and something buyers instantly feel the moment they step outside. It gives the whole place a different energy, more open, more private, and far harder to find than the average new build garden. The garden also offers two distinct seating areas, with a patio and a raised decking area, perfect for entertaining and making the most of the space throughout the warmer months.

If space, privacy, and flexibility are high on your list, this one needs to be seen. Contact us to arrange your viewing and we’ll get you in as soon as possible.

Plot 1 -The 3 Bed Semi

Warren Meadow is not a development. It’s a piece of ART

Tucked behind electric gates in a mews setting beside the historic The Jolly Farmer pub - a pub that has been quenching local thirsts and trading stories for generations. This small collection of 12 homes sits right in the heart of Manston village, where semi-rural calm, is at its finest. You’re only moments from the edge of Thanets’ amenities and beautiful beaches along with the added bonus of being striking distance of the M2, for when the bright lights of London call.

Created by a well-known local family whose reputation is built on attention to detail and a refusal to do “average”, Warren Meadow is one of those addresses that rarely becomes available. And when it does, it doesn’t whisper. It gets noticed.

The development offers a mix of three-bedroom semi-detached homes and three and four-bedroom detached houses. Each property has its own personality. no copy-and-paste architecture. Think individual character within a carefully designed enclave.

This is where the Woodchurch Properties developer’s attention to detail becomes visible. Locally sourced materials form the backbone of the build. Herringbone flooring runs through the downstairs living space. Kitchens are exclusively fitted by Smallbone, paired with Siemens appliances and a Quooker boiling tap that delivers instant boiling water with unapologetic efficiency. In addition, the bathrooms and ensuites are fully tiled, crisp and deliberate in their execution.

Out back, the gardens have been thought about with an actual patio, lawn and beautiful planting, not a token strip of turf but more of a space to sit, a space to breathe and more importantly, a space to live in.

The homes are being offered off plan, presenting a rare opportunity for buyers to influence the internal finish. Purchasers are able to select elements such as kitchen unit colours, tiles and wall paint to name just a few elements, allowing a degree of personalisation not often available in new developments.

The developers remain directly involved and are available, by appointment, to spend time discussing choices and detailing. Conversations are welcomed. Questions are encouraged. Attention to detail is not only part of the build; it is part of the process.

Warren Meadow is semi-rural living with a wonderful spec, a touch of tech, and a developer who actually cares resulting in refined modern living that meets timeless countryside beauty

There are three things that immediately stand out about this lovely three-bedroom semi-detached home, and they set it apart from the moment you arrive.

First, the size. Proper, generous proportions that feel increasingly rare to find, with rooms that have been built the good old-fashioned way-designed for real living rather than compromise. Every space feels comfortable, usable, and ready to adapt to modern life without losing that sense of openness.

Second, the garden. A genuinely stunning outdoor space that brings a semi-rural feel right to your doorstep. Whether it’s hosting friends, letting the kids run free, or simply enjoying a quiet evening outside, this is a garden that delivers. It’s private, spacious, and perfectly suited to both entertaining and unwinding.

Third, the potential. Sitting on a double-width plot, this is a home with real scope to grow. Subject to the necessary planning permissions, there’s a clear opportunity here to extend, reimagine, and create something even bigger and better-making it an exciting prospect for those looking to add value and put their own stamp on a property.

Location-wise, it’s hard to ignore the appeal of being just a short stroll from Stonelees Golf Course. For golf lovers, the idea of walking down the road with your trolley rather than packing the car is about as good as it gets.

The property also benefits from ample off-street parking, two reception rooms offering flexible living space, a useful outside storage shed/ container, and solar panels to help keep those energy bills in check.

This is a home that combines space, setting, and serious potential.

Flat 4, Sea Tower North Sussex Gardens, Westgate-On-Sea, Westgate-On-Sea, CT8 8DJ
£395,000

There are sea views.

And then there’s this.

We see coastal property all the time. After nearly four decades in estate agency, a balcony overlooking the sea isn’t exactly an unusual Tuesday for us.

But every now and again, one feels different.

Sea Tower North does.

This is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom first-floor apartment sitting right on the Westgate seafront, in Sussex Gardens. And strangely, we think the fact that it’s on the first floor might just be the cleverest thing about it.

Open the bi-fold doors, sit back on the sofa and look out.

Because of the height, the road, promenade and most of the usual visual clutter almost disappear beneath you. Your eye catches the beach and then the sea.

That’s about it.

You’re not high enough to feel detached from it. You’re not at ground level looking through people, railings and passing cars. You sit there feeling ridiculously close to the sand — almost as though you could lean over the balcony and grab a handful.

It’s a difficult thing to explain in an advert.

You’ll understand it within about ten seconds of sitting in the lounge.

The apartment itself is properly proportioned too. Two good-sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite, a generous main bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen and a living space that opens directly onto the balcony.

But really, the floorplan isn’t the headline here.

The feeling is.

You’re also a very short stroll from central Westgate, which has quietly become rather cool. The once-sleepy little seaside town now has its own collection of bars, restaurants and independents — what we’ve jokingly started referring to as the Westgate Strip. Nobody else calls it that. Yet.

And with Westgate station providing direct rail connections towards London, it works equally well as a permanent home, weekend escape or somewhere to simply shut the doors and disappear to the coast.

We sell plenty of homes with sea views.

Very few make you feel this close to the sea.

Come and sit on the sofa.

You’ll see what we mean.

Some people buy a townhouse. Others buy one with battlements.

No, it’s not a medieval castle. But if you’ve ever fancied owning the house that everyone points at as they walk past, this could be your chance.

First thing worth pointing out: officially, this is an end-of-terrace — but only just. It touches the neighbouring properties by little more than slivers of wall, so in everyday terms it feels far closer to a linked-detached house.

Built around 15 years ago and thoughtfully designed to pay homage to the historic entrance of Wilson’s Hall, this striking four-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse is arranged over three floors and brings a little bit of castle character to one of Ramsgate’s oldest and most charming neighbourhoods.

Inside, it’s a completely different story. Contemporary, bright and beautifully cared for, the current owners have created a home that feels modern, practical and ready to move straight into. It’s proof that you can have quirky architecture on the outside without sacrificing everyday comfort on the inside.

Location-wise, it’s difficult to beat. Vale Square is literally moments away, the West Cliff and Government Acre are an easy stroll, and you’re only a few minutes from the seafront, harbour and everything that makes Ramsgate such a brilliant place to live. Need to escape to London? You’re only moments from the main route out of town and onto the dual carriageway.

This home is likely to suit someone who loves being in the heart of things. Off-street parking, a low-maintenance courtyard instead of a sprawling garden, and a home that’s every bit as individual as its owner.

Let’s be honest… ordinary houses don’t usually come with battlements.

This one does.

And around here, opportunities to own something quite this memorable don’t come along very often.

Its situation is sought after, as the rise of Margate has forever enhanced her desire, and for those that wish to live in her hub, merely 100 yards to the glorious sea and skies, and just a few further steps to the stunning Turner Contemporary, today could be your lucky day!

This house defies convention, with its flying freehold, which means your fifth floor belongs to your neighbour. A quirk from the past enshrined in old law, but unequivocally adds to the spiciness of Margate living! Rest assured, there is no passing one another on the landing, it is completely self sufficient, but a point that needs pointing out!

Geek have been advised by the current owner, that it is in fair to good order, and will be renovated and improved. Tenants presently reside there, so geek has not been able to take photographs; so, for now, all we can tell you, is that we understand there are three bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, a kitchen/breakfast room and of course a bathroom. Topped with a typical rear courtyard.

If you wish to express your interest in one of Margate’s many quirky homes, right in the heart of it, then get in touch and we will take your details.

Photos are on their way, so sit tight, if you wish to see the inside before viewing.

Imagine being able to walk to London in just over an hour.

Step outside, turn left, and within a few minutes you are at Ramsgate’s high-speed railway station. Turn right and the town centre is only a short walk away. Station Approach Road has always been well connected, but this particular stretch has something more.

Set within its tree-lined section is a small collection of handsome 1930s semi-detached houses. There are only a handful of them, and in our opinion, they are the finest examples of their kind on the road.

We are proud to say this is one of them.

It is a particularly good-looking three-bedroom home, with the proportions that made houses of this period so enduringly popular. Proper rooms. Good natural light. Space that feels considered rather than squeezed in.

Downstairs, exposed wooden floors add warmth and character, while outside there is something increasingly difficult to find around here: genuine off-street parking.

At the rear, the garden is mature, established and clearly cared for. Fruit trees, settled shrubs and the sort of planting that takes years to create. It is not a blank canvas. It already has a story.

The position is difficult to improve upon. Trains, town, schools and everyday essentials are all close enough to reach on foot, yet the house itself sits within one of the greener and more attractive sections of the road.

Homes like this do not appear very often.

A handsome 1930s semi. Three bedrooms. Parking. A proper garden. And London, somehow, feeling remarkably close.

Some houses are difficult to work out when you first walk in.

This one isn’t.

There’s an immediate feeling that it has been properly lived in, properly loved and, importantly, allowed to evolve into a house that actually works for modern family life.

Arranged over three floors, this substantial Victorian townhouse gives you a huge amount of flexibility. You can comfortably create four bedrooms and two bathrooms, but equally, if four bedrooms aren’t essential, there’s obvious scope for a home office, study or separate sitting room. It’s the sort of layout that can change as life changes.

For us, though, the ground floor is where the house really comes together.

It’s largely open-plan, with the kitchen slightly defined from the main living and dining space, before everything flows naturally out towards the garden. And that garden matters. Victorian townhouses this close to central Ramsgate don’t always come with genuinely useful outside space; this one sits on a surprisingly good-sized plot.

The owners would probably be the first to say there may be things the next person chooses to tweak or personalise. We rather like that. What matters is that the house has clearly been cared for, is presented in very good order and already feels like a proper home.

Then there’s South Eastern Road itself.

You’re close enough to walk into town, reach the West Cliff and wander along towards Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour, while good local schooling and everyday essentials are all within easy reach.

A big, adaptable Victorian house. A proper garden. And a location that makes considerably more sense once you actually live here.

We like this one. A lot.

Positioned along Northdown Park Road, where Cliftonville quietly brushes shoulders with Kingsgate, this is one of those pockets people tend to hold onto. Leafy, established, and just off Northdown Park itself, there’s a calm, almost tucked-away feel here that’s hard to come by-removed just enough from the pace, but still very much part of the area’s evolving story.

The bungalow is double-fronted and instantly likeable. Lovingly updated in parts, it carries a clean, stylish feel without trying too hard-especially in the lounge/diner, where shutter blinds and simple finishes just work. The layout remains largely original, so while what’s here is solid, there’s clear scope to tweak and improve over time. The kitchen feels like the natural next step-planning permission is already in place to extend, so it’s simply waiting for someone with the time and vision to take it forward and bring it in line with the rest of the home.

Outside, you get exactly what you’d hope for, a great-sized garden that’s usable, balanced, and not over the top. Proper bungalow proportions.

And then the wider setting really comes into its own. It’s a short walk into Margate Old Town, with its independent shops, galleries and cafés, while Cliftonville’s increasingly creative, up-and-coming scene sits just moments away. Close enough to dip into whenever you like, but far enough to retreat from it when you don’t-striking that balance people are always trying to find.

A stroll along to Botany Bay-arguably one of Thanet’s standout coastal spots. Palm Bay, Kingsgate and Broadstairs are all within easy reach too, giving you options in every direction.

Bungalows in this stretch don’t come up often-especially with this kind of feel and potential.
